Description: Awarded to a full-time first-year student entering UPEI from the Halifax region(preference). The recipient will have a minimum average of 85%, will have participated in community service activities during high school, and is not in receipt of another scholarship of more than $2,500.

Background: In 2004, a group of UPEI alumni and former Islanders established The Halifax Friends of UPEI Scholarship.

The Entrance Award Cycle is now open for Fall 2024.
