General entrance scholarships are based on your admission average – no scholarship application is required. All secondary students who apply for admission to King’s with a September entry (in the BA, BSc, BJ(Hons) and BMus programs) will automatically be considered for these awards.

Major entrance scholarships

Major entrance scholarships and awards are based on your admission average, entrance award application and original essay submission (if applicable). Secondary students who apply for admission to King’s with a September entry (in the BA, BSc, BJH and BMus programs) are eligible to apply for major awards (please read the details for each award to determine your eligibility).

Sobey Scholarship - Total Value: $50,000

Program of study  All programs (preference given to students entering the Foundation Year Program)

Criteria    

• Canadian citizens (preference given to Atlantic Canadians)
• Demonstrated academic excellence, proven leadership skills, and involvement in school and/or community activities

High school grades 85%+

Annual value    

• $17,000 (year 1)
• $11,000 (year 2, 3, and 4)

Renewable Yes - Remain in good academic standing
